The instructor Amy Da-Peng King has been teaching brush painting around the Bay Area for 15 years. Originally from Taiwan, she studied with several masters.

Amy earned her BFA in Fines Arts at California College of Arts and Crafts. Currently, she is teaching through the San Mateo Recreation Center and Redwood City Art Center.

Recently, she received a grant from Peninsula Community Foundation and fulfilled her "Return to My Roots" journey to China. She has come back with new knowledge and information and is looking forward to sharing with her students. Also, she is working on the project in intergrating Eastern and Western art in her studio.
